When a conductive fluid moves through a magnetic field, it induces a voltage. Electrodes pick up that induced voltage. The instrument converts the voltage into a flow rate.
The electromagnetic flowmeter has no moving parts, which allows it to resist wear and produce a minimal pressure drop. It works well for water, wastewater, acids, slurries, and many chemical fluids.
For gas measurement, we use thermal dispersion (or thermal mass) flow meters such as models BT-3020-G, with dual platinum wire sensors enclosed in SS sheath, graphical OLED display, 4-20 mA, RS485, optional IoT, and explosion-proof enclosures.
For liquids, our electromagnetic meters feature various options, including empty pipe detection, bi-directional flow, ceramic or PTFE liners, integral or remote electronics, 4-20 mA/HART output, and optional internet monitoring.
We run in-house calibration labs for liquid and gas flow, following ISO/IEC 17025 norms.
